Timing adjuster
I wanted to know if anyone is using or thought of installing a timing adjuster on their mod motor. I don't have a f150 yet, maybe next year. Just wanted to get some opinions. The price on them has really started to come down into what I would call an affordable range. Mac Performance has one they sell man'fd by Pacifica I beleive, for $99.99. I have also seen them in the range of $139-$169. Most of the tests I have read about are showing gains in the 15hp and like torque range. The highest I have seen was around 30hp, but that was a 5.4 with ported heads someone dropped in a stang. 15hp and torque for $100 seems like pretty cheap hp to me. Just wanted to hear some feedback. When I do get my 150, I was thinking the timing adjuster and a throttlebody would probably be my first mods. Along with air intake, cat back exhaust, you know the norm. Gee whiz, I haven't even got the truck yet, and I've already got a $1000 list of mods I want to do.
