One reservation with auto up is things can get caught. Like dogs and kids.

My old Subarus with p/w have auto up and down drivers side only.

On my old Lariat, I ran a switch to each dome light and mounted them in the overhead console. Best mod I ever did. Its the black w/blue stripe wire at the dome light. I had tried to find it in the a-pillar but with no success. I need to do it to this truck also. Just need to find a place to put the switches since I dont have an overhead console anymore.

If you don't want the light on so you can sit and listen to the radio for a minute or two, turn the key all the way to Acc position, and if I remember correctly the light goes off.
