does anyone know if there is someone like 1956markII who sells harleys for invoice? or if anyone knows of a harlwy forum like fte? or any info on buying a new bike? thanks
If you find a Harley for anything under retail price, cosider it a bargain and grab it. They have special programs for Firefighters and Police officers and military (on deployment), but only a very few.
Make friends with someone who works at Harley. My wife's grandfather worked there for 50+ years and gets to buy one Harley a year at a 20% discount to invoice. Her dad now gets a new one every year and actually makes money selling last year's to a local dealer.
You can try this forum (http://groups.msn.com/harleytechtalk) approx 14,000 members worldwide and info from old knucks to new TC's, also there is usually a "who sells at invoice" thread running around on the "General" page

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I'd take it. Don't forget, though, that the dealer knows you are going to go back and get aftermarket pipes, and all the little goodies that go on the bike. (emblems, leather this and that, chrome...)
Hope you'll post a picture of it when you get it.
