I have a 2000 f.250 4x4, it has rust on the wheel wells and i do not want it to look like my old 1984 f 150, i do not use the 4x4 much, it has all highway miles 81,000, i also was stupid and bought goodyear wranglers for it, the mt/r, they are for rock crawling as a understand and stone got stuck in them as a would then go on the road and hit 30 mph, the rocks flew out and hit the fender, so there is rust from them. Also, there are these plastic guards inside the rear fenders that rupped right through the primer got it down to bare metal, and it rusts. Also, i got a crew cab with the rear opening doars and there is rust bubbles in the paint, would they fix this if i took it to a ford dealer ship free of charge, its onle four years old, and i think it should last longer, i mean it is built ford tough.
thanks for your help
you are still in the rust warrenty (sp)I woud take it back ford it is 5 years unlimited miles
read the warrenty closer it is a rust through warrenty, meaning they will only warrenty it if it rusts through the metal ie. until you can poke a hole through the fender it is not a problem, they are warrenting the metal not the paint, and rust warrenties are a joke as I have never seen any of them actually rust clear through in that period.
I worked in a ford bodyshop for three yearas and we did a ton rust warrenty including changing parts like core supports on rangers some rusted so bad that the lower part was completely gone and the bottom of radiator was hanging from the top mount

ok haven't seen that but it is still rust through not just rusted before they will waurentee the part, what the origanal poster asked about was rusted not rusted through major difference as far as ford is concerned.
