Is 2500 when you hear it start to spool or when you feel it? Seems a little late compared to my 99 but I can't remember how my 97 spooled. My 99 I can hear it spool up a bit before I really start to feel it.

I can hear my spin way before 2500. This is both before and after the Tymar install, but more pronounced after. I'm not sure I ever really "feel" it like I have on gassers. I guess the real measure of this will would be to put a gauge on it. That may be the only way to tell for sure. Bear in mind whine and boost seem dependent on load, grade, and throttle position.

Unless you're pushing it uphill or under a load you may or may not feel or hear the spool up. Running at 75 and 2400 rpm even chipped on flat ground I only have 4-5 lbs of boost. Now kicking it hard, it will spool all the way to the SES light.
