I notice my 78 F150 leaking anti-freeze from a tube near A/C plemium, carpet was a little damp on passenger side. I think it's the heater core. Haynes manual said if truck has A/C this job not for the home mechanic. The A/C on my truck is disconnected right now, compressor was off the truck when I got it. How hard is this job? Any tips ? This is my first one. Thanks Tony
The procedure should take you less than 4 hours. If your AC was intact you wouldn't even need to vent it. 'Not for the home mechanic' ... my posterior!
If you like it then get the manual on cd-rom. It's full of procedures similar to this.... with illustrations!
it was easy for me on my 79 f150 w/ac took an hour and a half start to finish its not as hard as it looks all i can say is make sure you cover your arms when reaching under the ac core thats in front of the heater core she's sharp other then that its no prob
