Buzzing in speakers from Drawtite?
Hi Everyone, First time posting to this forum . (long time lurker, first time poster). I had a Drawtite "Activator " installed in my '03 F250 today, from the place that sold me a trailer. Now i am getting a buzzing noise from my speakers when I apply the brake. They blamed it on the trucks harness and told me to take it back to the dealership. (33000 miles). Has anyone experienced this with this controller or any ? It's very annoying.

my bosses 03 does the same thing. He has the same controller and it there is a buzzing sound when the radio is on, towing a trailer and applying the brakes. he hasnt checked to see what it is though.

.04 SUPERDUTY, thanks for the reply. I have figured out what the problem was. The place that had built and wired the trailer had somehow got the positive and negative on the hot wire to the brakes pigtailed together. I merely snipped the the link off and now the brakes work great!! Also no buzzing noise at all. Tell your boss to check for the brake feed wire grounding somewhere, that might be it!
