I am about to buy a steering stabilizer for my 88 Bronco. www.truckperformance.com wants to know if I have Quad Shocks or not. I'm assuming that this just means four front shocks?
for the steering stabilizer it should not matter but
front shocks 2 per side 1 foward and 1 rear of the front axle (79 any who) think its the ame on 80-86 88 most likely
The shocks do not matter. They do not interact with a stabilizer at all. I think it is asking you that, merely because it asks that questions for most of their other suspension stuff. It is a general form you work through, to get to the parts you desire.
If you don't ask you never get to know. In this case Quad means 4. Just look over the top of the front tires and you will be able to see four shocks over the axle. Two on each side. I had the same general routine every time I went to buy parts for my Bronc. A lot of the time they want to know the VIN# before they will even attempt to help you. Hope this helps.
