I'm going to put a 1977 F100 steering columm in my 1972
F100 with automatic and power steering the truck has power steering but but stick shif. We put a 302 with a automatic in last week
are the wireing color code the same on the 72 and 77
seems like the colors are about the same, [i.e. white with blue stripe may be blue with white stripe} but you will have 2 extra wires left over. they are for the flasher circuit i beleive.
rember the column from the 77 is longer, so it will set a little closer to you.
jim the steering columm in 77 is the same length as the
72 they both are power steering just had 2 more wires
in the 77. All the color match but the ones for the flashers.
no the column is not 2 inches longer i just done mine two week's ago ..the 79 is the same as my 72 column....you will have two wires left over if you dont move you 4 way's to column.....
