3 speed to c6

if i change out my 3 spd tranny to a c6 will i be able the use the same drive shaft or would it depend on the tail shaft? it will be going in a 69 f100 2 wd. thanks

you will need a driveshaft. before you do this take a look at the crossmember between the radius arm brackets. if it doesnt unbolt, the c 6 will not fit between it and the floor pan. you will either have to cut the rivets and replace them with bolts after you get the tranny in, or pull the motor. i just pulled the motor on mine, it was easier for me to do it that way.
i used a driveline out of an 81 long bed truck. all i had to do was change the yoke on the rearend [bigger u joints] to get it in.
