Post Advice on upgrades

I am trying to figure out what are the best upgrades that are out there for my 1995 Explorer XLT 4.0 V-6. I tow a rather light boat 1710lbs, but feel the vehicle struggle. I was looking into a performance chip, but need to know which one to go with and what to expect as far as a noticiable gain in power. I would also like to know about exhaust upgrades, t-stat upgrades, and the availability of any kind of suspension or body lift for the 95 Explorer. To this point I have been told that suspenion/body lifts for this model do not exist. If this is the case, than what type of shocks would be recommended. Any input would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!!

Advice on upgrades

i'm not big on performance chips, but if you do mostly street/hiway driving with an occassional dirt/gravel road them i can certainly recommend Monroe Reflex shocks, quite an upgrade from OEM,...i tow a light boat too, but i have an 8. I know I might get some static on this, but why would you want to lift a vehicle with a hi center of gravity anyway...
