vandalized keypad
i have a 1996 Ford Explorer. My -x- was vandalized way back on easter. The guy that did it scratched out the numbers on my keypad thing on my drivers door, it still works alright, but a button is mashed in all the way, so it always thinks a button is being pushed, so my inside lights stay on all the time. i was just wanting to know if anyone knew what fuse this is on so i can take it out. And also, when i get it repaired, if one from a newer year like a 1999, or 2000, or 2001 that have the individual rubber buttons, and not one like i have, one big rubber mat, will work in my truck. thanks

If you're going to get it fixed I'd just cut the wires right near the keypad inside the door. But if your gonna go that far as to pull the door panel of might as well just replace pad yourself. Plugs in to harness.
