Unladen Weight

Does anyone know the unladen weight for this vehicle???

2000 F-250 Lariat 4x4
Long Bed
Crewcab
7.3 Turbo Diesel

I know its either on the door sticker or title, but I'm not in possession of the vehicle. I'm asking because I'd rather register a truck with passenger plates and our state requires that the unladen weight be 5,000 lbs. or less.

Thanks so much for your help.

Hate to tell you this while I'm not sure of exact weight I'm pretty sure it weighs more than 5000lbs, my 95 reg cab, long bed 2wd is close to 7000lb with just fuel and me in it.

Yea, you'll be well over 7000 lbs with that rig. I've got a '99 4x4 supercab/shortbox and I'm just over 7000lbs, the crewcab and long box will definitely add more weight, you'll also have a larger fuel tank which would be even more weight.

That's what I thought - it would be a heck of a lot easier having the passenger plates so I can drive on all the major parkways here, but what can ya do ... I'd rather have the truck I want though!

Thanks so much for all the quick replies - this is a great board!

Then register it as a "farm truck" and watch the taxes go even lower.

I wish I could move down south!

Long Island is a really expensive place to live and would love to leave and there sure isn't much farm land left on the Island either! These developers want to take every bit of farm land and build million dollar houses on them!

I lived in New York for a long time and you can drive on the parkway even though you have "commercial" plates. You're still not really a commercial vehicle. You'll notice that there are plenty of pickups that drive on the parkways. The law can be a bit confusing at times.

Hey NEW YORK ! I used to live in Northern Westchester and ran my pickup on ALL the parkways....Saw Mill, Taconic, L.I.E. etc and never got stopped or looked at. It is a truck but it's not a TRUCK/SIZED vehicle. Call the State Police and find out what the deal is....
