anyone have any tech tips on the best ways bang for the buck to build a 1987
460ci engine? i am not looking for hugh horse power but something dependable
and powerful for a 1989 short wheel base 4x4. any help will be appreciated.

There is a series of articles in Hot Rod Magazine a few years back about building monster engines. It looked at the big engines from each of the big three automakers. I didnt read much of the Ford section. However I followed the series on building a Cadillac 500 motor and shoe horned it into a early 70's GM mid-body. They seemed to know what they were doing with the 500, so hopefully the Ford section was just as good.
