Southern Ontario Get-together

Has the Ontario chapter organized a meet yet or do I have to come down there & do it ?

There is a distinct possiblity that Michelle & I will be down in the Whitby (Uxbridge) area this August/September.

& Does anyone have an extra Ford I can rent ?

Well, about 1 month ago I started a thread (you could do a search you know! ) but only a couple people responded. I have been really busy working in the last little while. Where is Whitby exactly? (In relation to Toronto would be good). Thanks

On the #2 or 401 > It goes > Scarborough > Ajax > Pickering > Whitby (45 miles east of T.O.) > Oshawa >

To get to Uxbridge you drive through Pickering > North on Brock Road >
it is a few miles North of Hwy 7 (407)

This is up to the host province.
Entertainment?
Hmmmmm...Had it been the last weekend in July,we could have taken in the Elvis Festival in Collingwood.

I could do a couple of Elvis songs if we get there in August/September

Entertainment eh?, Drive down to Oshawa and boo the GM plant. Sorry I couldn't resist.
Driving time would be closer to 5 hrs. Sarnia to London 2 hrs, London to Toronto 2 hrs and Toronto to Whitby 1 hr (more traffic then milage).

I do a Woodstock to Toronto run periodicly (at 130 km) and I takes about an hour and a half (don't recommend it though--More OPP lately)

Wednesday & Saturday, in Manchester, there's a gathering of rods, customs & restoreds.
401 east to Brock Rd. north & about 30 minutes to Uxbridge. There's more radar on Brock Rd. than most any other road in the area.
On the way up to Uxbridge, there's a tiny town called Coppins Corners. The intersecting road is Goodwood Rd. (21). Go east on 21 past Lakeridge Rd., through Utica(stop at the General store in Utica and look at the body shop across the street cause you must), & to the traffic light in Manchester. Turn right(southbound on Brock Street 12) & look left about 100 yards down. The family restaurant with the big parking lot is where it's at. The driving option is to go straight through(east) at 21 + 12 and go into Port Perry. There's a right turn just past the Ford dealer to get to downtown.

Sarnia to London = 2 hours? at 50 KM/H? I can do the speed limit and get to London in an hour, maybe an hour and 5 mins.

What else to do while you're here?
West Hill- Sisters' Restaurant (Millies') @ Kingston Rd.& Old Kingston Rd.
Peterborough- Keep your eyes peeled for my old 63 Fairlane 2 door with a chopped roof.
Coburg-Trenton- East of Coburg is the "Big Apple".
Stouffville- Obviously the flea market.

Go try the wings and beer at the Black Dog on Hwy 2 (Kingston Rd) just the other side of the Scarborough/ Pickering boarder (Their Gravy is the best I've ever had also)
