Explorer Sport Trac
I'm getting ready to purchase a 2002 Sport Trac , it did not have a Trailer Towing Package installed by the factory. The dealership is ordering a Class III hitch from Detroit and wants to install it there.
I'm concerned about the Sport Trac's being able to pull my travel trailer that weighs 3700 pounds. I know the brochure says it will pull 5300 pounds, but does anyone out there have a similar situation in regards to pulling a travel trailer, or maybe even a boat that weighs about the same as my trailer. Also what about hooking up Electric Brakes, if the 4 pin plug is taken out, and a 7 pin plug put in, will my electric brakes work properly. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
