Late model Conversion
Could someone tell me if the complete twin I beam suspension with disc brakes, the power steering box, and steering column from a mid 70's F-150 will work in my 65 F-100. I can purchase the complete truck with a 302 and & automatic trans at a real deal. Just wanted to be sure everything would exchange. Thanks for such a good sight with lots of wonderful info. I just finished replacing the floor pans and cab mounts and the info from here was of a great help.

swap the frame
Hey Preacher,
I'm kinda new here too. But I have read here that you can swap the whole frame for our 61-66 trucks with frames up to 79. Same wheel base. You get a more modern truck under the old sheetmetal. Power steering and brakes improved suspension
My 66 has a 75 302 with 600cfm 4bbl and a little more cam than stock. It is also a 67 C-$ automatic. Moves the truck well

swapped p/s, p/b, out of 75-76 donor truck for my 65 100, w/ 302. Have the T18, 4 speed so kept the original column and cut the steering shaft approx. 2", kept the steering housing intact. Have not installed the column yet, but appears will align perfectly. If you run search on Bendix p/s i posted the question and received much good info.
If you run a search on the topic in this forum you should find several post on the subject. There will likely be other members more knowledgeable who will be able to provide additional information.

As the others have stated, it is a easy, but time consuming swap. i used a 73 w/360/c6 combo and was an easy swap. Took about 2 months in my own garage working weekends and havin some real good freinds help me. Good luck!
