Banks power pack and diablo 2 stage chip

I just purchased the complete banks power pack. (headers with new 3.5" exhaust) I decided not to get the optional ottomind module. Is the single stage diablo chip my only option with a custom tune due to the headers? I am assuming the headers will prevent me from ever running a stock tune? If this is the way to go, how do I go about getting a custom tune?

Disregard me other post about custom tuning. The Power Pack has long tubes. You'll need to run a custom tune or use MIL eliminators. For the custom tune, call 770-736-7122, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm EST.

Im my preparation of calling motor haven on tuesday, I attemped to get my ECU code before I called. I have a 03' SD V10. I discovered my ECU is sealed!!!!!! There is no cover to slide. All it is a metal sealed box with a plastic covering on the front side (toward drivers legs) So this means no chip for me? I already orderd the banks power pack, I suppose the factory program cannot account for long tube headers? Am i screwed or what? I do see a multi-pin port underneath near the transfer case shift lever? Could I run a superchips programmer with a custom code? I really would rather the predator though. With my short summer seasons in New England and no garage I dont want to wait until Christmas for the predator to come out to do this project. Ken, what do you think about this?

Does your computer bolt to the wiring harness with a single 10mm bolt? Or more than one bolt?

The computer is bolted to the parking brake assembly with (2) bolts. Then it is hinged on the back it swing out toward the pedals. I got the direction on how to get the code form Motor Haven's website. Everything was as described except when I swung the computer out....all I see is a solid metal box surrounded on one side by a black cover. There was no cover to slide to access any part of it. There are two round mulit-pin connectors on the firewall side that connect to it. Those connected wires then run thought the firewall. I heard that 03' F-150's are like that. I guess the SD's are too. Heard of anything like this yet Ken?

03 F-150s aren't like that, they all use the older EEC-V computer. Ford switched over to the P-tech style for the 04 F-150. The 03 6.0L Power Strokes use the newer computers, the 03 7.3L used the older computers.

Here's what an EEC-V computer looks like:

There is a single 10mm bolt that bolts it to the firewall. If I remove that bolt and slide the computer out, what will happen?

boxcar, This 10mm bolt, is it the head of the bolt on the engine side of the firewall?
On my 2001 SD, the ECU was secured to the wiring harness by a 10mm headed bolt passing through the middle of the harness on the engine side, through the fire wall, into the ECU. If the ECU is not removed from the vehicle, you will not see the accessory port. The black plastic cover that is secured to the parking brake hides the accessory port. Under the hood, if you look down close to the inner fender, next to the firewall, on the drivers side, you will see this wiring harness plug. The 10mm bolt is in the middle of this plug. Loosen this bolt, have a helper gently pull on the ECU from inside until the ECU comes off. The bolt will not back out of the wiring harness, so it is difficult to tell when the ECU is free from the bolt.
I hope this helps.
