97 explorer strange starting problem

97 explorer strange starting problem
The trucks starts ok every time and runs for about 3-4 seconds and dies. I checked the fuel reset however thats not tripped. When I checked under the hood it looks like some mice were starting to build a nest right up under the fuel injection area
. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

It could be loose or damaged wire harness connections at the distributer; the mice could have been chewing on it.
Vacuum leaks; Mice could have chewed that up also.
Or mabey the fuel injectors; them mice could have chewed up the electrical.
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. I hope it helps you out.
