GET LOST!!!!!
Ford Trucks, everywhere you want to go!
Congratulations!
Next time we get lost driving up to "The Saddleback Peak" or get lost on the trails out of "Holy Jim" we will know who to call...JK...
When driving and hiking in the C.N.F. we have helped out a few people ourselves. Once we pulled out a Jeep that went off the road, precariously dangling on the edge of the mountain, and have given many lost hikers directions. I am surprised at how many times this has happened, I have a feeling you will keep pretty busy.
Enjoy your new job, and good luck!
Deb
"Them what has, is got to help out them what ain't"...
Which summed up the 49'er spirit. The wagon trains of the old west always adopted survivors of other wagon trains.
It doesn't always work on the interstates today, because people are afraid of strangers.
In the california foothills (on the desert side) there are places you can refill old, used anti-freeze containers with water, or jerry cans if you have them. And there are always people who pass them by - only to overheat on the upgrades.
I will never forget pulling off to help an elderly seeming couple on one of those upgrades, only to observe them locking their doors...
I guess I just didn't look like their kind of people, even though I had five gallons of water, six quarts of oil, and extra tranny fluid in my truck.
25 miles later, I got pulled over because they had apparently told a Highway Patrolman that I had appeared threatening to them...
I explained it, shrugged, and said: "Some people are BORN to not be helped..."
