Where should I be feeling, adn what should I be feeling for? This would probably be an easier job to do with the floorplans out, but if I can get the plugs out and new ones back in then it'll be worth it.
I'll probably go with rubber ones again just for getting them back in. Plus I wouldn't imagine the plugs drying up THAT fast. And after doing it once it shouldn't be hard to take care of again.
I have the shifter looseness associated with the bushings and plastic washer things in the shifter being destroyed. I'll probably end up having to fix that soon - when I go to do that should I just do the plugs then and pull the floor pan? Cause I'll have the shifter and everythign out already, prolly have to pull the carpet up with that.
Saurian, I never could figure out where the plugs were until a couple weeks ago I saw a post where someone had a photo of the plugs in their gallery. They are on top of the tranny facing the back of the truck just ahead of what I call the tailpiece of the tranny, nowhere near the hole in the floor where the shifter goes in (which is where I thought they would be).
