It's my first time doing a fluid swap in a manual transmission. I read a little bit about it. From what I understand the oil I use should be at least gl-4, not any higher. If possible I should look for a gl-1 rated oil. Well I found a gl-1 rated 80w-90 gall on for 15$ at napa. What do you guys think?https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/FCA65201
It will work. If you do a lot of towing you may want to run a GL with the EP (extra Pressure) additive. GL-1 is for light duty gear applications. GL-4 is probably better. That being said, It's a T19....You could probably fill it full of banana peels and it would still shift.

They seem to be good at lubricating people's feet on TV causing some funny antics, maybe they are good in a trans.. lol
But a tip on filling up the trans is to use one of those plunger style caps you can put on those bottles, like a soap dispenser. Stick the cap on, put the hose in the filler hole on the trans, and pump until your arm falls off.

Those are handy for sure! I use a little fluid transfer pump that I picked up from Harbor Freight for $10. Works great for a lot of different applications and will also give you Popeye arms
