5.4l Upgrade
I have a 98 F150 Supercab with a 5.4. It has 175k mile son it and I want to install a new motor, preferrably the highest output I can find, supercharged etc. How would I obtain the motor, and how do I confirm compatibility with my existing powetrain components?

Welcome to the site. I can't give you an answer, but I wanted to let you know that this thread will prolly get moved to a more appropriate forum... like the 1997- 2000 F150 forum (or whatever it is). Good luck with the upgrade. Good info onthat forum, too.

Hey sounds like i'm in the same boat as you! I have a 99 f-150 5.4 and an currently trying to find out if a 5.4 from a cobra or R will be compatable. Just starting my research so if anyone has any info feel free to jump in and give us a hand! And thanks for any help!

if you want a more powerful motor, try to find one from a Navigator. You can also buy a remanufactured short block from any major auto parts store, then get some high flow Ford Racing cylinder heads, and a set of cams. You can also add a supercharger, available from Kenne Bell.
