camshaft sensor

camshaft sensor location
Does anyone know where the camshaft position sensor is on a 96 Explorer 4.0 ? Haynes manual says it is in the rear middle of the engine but I can't find it. Is it under the plenum ? The engine is a pushrod engine, not an overhead cam. Thanks.

Suppose to be near the middle of the engine thats where mine is on my Explorer 4.0 check closely its black.... good luck!
