Cool The scoop on 40-47 cabs and car sheetmetal!

Well, I finally chased down the info on whether or not 39Deluxe or 40Std fenders and hoods will fit a 40-47 Cab...

The answer is yes, and no. Fenders do fit, hood lines at the cowl are different so you must use a 40-41 truck hood.... Anyone got a good source for a 40-41 truck hood??!!

I might be getting rid of a '41 front clip soon. Don't know if it will work for you. Check my gallery for photo.

As far as I know the 39-40 car fenders are close to being the same as truck except were they bolt to the cab. The truck fenders bolt flush to the cab while the car fenders have an angle. I have a front clip for a 40 Deluxe in the barn, I will double check if I can remember.

Reg Wal, Thanks for the offer but your 41 appears to be a 1 tonner and I'm looking for a 1/2... they are different.
