when I was a little boy and I had a friend stay over, my dad would put a bunch of blankets and sleeping bags on the floor to make us a palet to sleep on, but after the friend would leave, I made pops leave the palet alone so I could sleep there. Then later on one of my girlfriends had 2 twin bed matresses next to each other on her floor and I never slept better (he he). I think I liked being on the floor, because it was cooler (I'm very hot natured) and I rolled off my bed once and scared my face up pretty bad on something. I sleep like normal people now(if there is such a thing), but would probalby be more comfortable with a mattress on the floor....go figure
i like sleeping on matresses on the floor except most of the time i will wake up half on half off. comfortable though. I mostly prefer our couch over my bed.
every once in a while, I will find my son sleeping with the dog or the dog sleeping on the bed. I would feel sorry for anyone that would try to harm him, becuase the dog is a very protective Rott.
My youngest daughter would frequently come in our bedroom, and sleep on the floor on her Mom's side of the bed, between the ages of 10 and 13. She finally tapered off when she was about 14. Now that I think about it, I miss it. She is 18, now, and very seldom ever see her anymore, it seems.
I always slept in my own room, as far back as I can remember. The last couple weeks before I busted my leg, I kept waking up up on my buddy's couch, in my truck's bed in his driveway, and on his kitchen floor several times. Hmm.... I wonder if he and his girlfriend ever mind bottles and bodies laying around their home.......
Some days have to leave the bed and find a spot on the couch when the little missy (8 y/o) and the boy (5 y/o) wonder into bed with the 2 cats and one large black lab also joining us, plus let's not forget me wife. Only queen size bed pretty cozy.
Cheers
Some kids hate sleeping on the top bunk bed because they always feel like they are going to fall out. I know I have picked my kids up off the floor more then once when they have rolled out of a normal bed and did not even wake up.
Kids will be 1/2 a sleep, go somewhere, then suddenly fall asleep and be there until morning when you find them sleeping 1/2 on/off a chair in the living room.
That's funny... my 7 year old daughter slept on the floor the other night, asking to do it first... next night, back on the bed...
My kids NEVER slept with us, especially as babies - too much chance of suffocation in that. Once in a while, a sick child was put on the floor in our bedroom because we could hear them gagging before they vomitted
We are a touchy-feely family, lots of hugs and kisses, but they are definitely taught early on to sleep in their own beds.
