I've noticed that several users here have been or are still in the Marines. My questions are, when were you in, where were you stationed, and what did you do?
I was in fron 85-89. BC @ MCRD SanDiego, school at Ft. Belvoir, VA (alexandria), 3 yrs at Camp Lejeune, NC, 1 yr in Okinawa, Japan.
Fortunately, it was all peacetime service for me. I was a draftsman (drawing stuff) and surveyor (kind of a wuss job, but fun).

i did get to drive the big white cadilac though which was one of the funnest jobs i ever did!!! seeing all those new boots all scared and at first it was funny then i always remembered wow that was me a few years ago!!!!

I would have stayed in but its hard to raise a family when you are gone more than home. (4 out of 6 yrs out of country).
After I got out I joined Army National Guard. I'm on active duty now. I stand guard at security checkpoint at local airport. (I LOVE IT)

in Nam, last duty was Yuma, Az. Was in Ordnance, and haven't found
a big demand for hanging bombs on civilian planes!!
