I dont see why it wouldn't be. There's certainly other oils that I'd use before that, but it's ok. The important questions are, what weight are you using now, what's it's oil pressure now, and how many miles are on the engine?

I have run Maxlife 10w-40, and currently Delvac 1300 14w-40. I had GREAT success with the maxlife (as in it DID DO what it claims it can for me) but I don't want to start a war over "high mileage oils" 
I am currently running the Delvac, and like it. Have no plans to change until I get the next motor together (think more power, not worn out) then maybe the Delvac 1, but we will see.
