I have 98 FORD X sport 2dr -i just got cold air intake - and now i want to get a muffler - i was looking at 40S flowmaster - Exhaust System is toooo much money for me - i just want to buy muffler - can some tell me if i need anything alse to install the muffler or i can just take out my OEM and put this one in - HOW DO I know if i got Dual inlet muffler Or Single inlet muffler?
- AND does anyone know what size i need for my X?????
Looking at the stock system will tell you everything you need to know. A dual inlet has 2 pipes going into the muffler, one with a single inlet.
CENTER/CENTER means the pipe goes in and out of the muffler in the center at each end. Offset means it comes in or goes out to the left or right of center. So, CENTER/OFFSET means the pipe enters the muffler in the center at one end, but exits the muffler from the left or right side at the other end.
Find the right in and out position and it should fit no problems.
