From someone that is a new member since June 15th, that probably joined E-BAY just to sell the hubcaps, I would not expect much. I would wait until Tuesday before e-mailing her again and I would have it shipped with ins. and sign. confirmation.
i deal with ebay quite a bit. i agree, give the seller a few more days and then on your last email, threaten to report them to ebay. i have labels on my monitor and keyboard that say "CHECK SHIPPING AND FEEDBACK" to remind my wife to do so. she bought some sock (100 pairs) from a "sock dealer" in FL. the 100 pairs was only 7 bucks, but they charged 30 bucks shipping and handling! AND she pruchased 2 LOTS of them! Geebus! 60 bucks to ship 2 boxes that weighed about 2 pounds each. (childrens socks)
so, check shipping and feedback and when they started being a seller. i recently sold some stuff on ebay; let me tell you, it's different than buying. you have to get a box, weigh it, get an estimate for shipping, ship it, etc. kind of a pain. i don't know how those power sellers do it.
I always look at the shipping. That's where some of those people make their money. If the price on something seems too good to be true, it probably is. When the shipping for an item is listed as 29.95 and you know it can't cost more than 5 bucks to ship that item, there's something wrong with the picture. -TD
The auction closed Thursday night. Depending on when/where the seller has internet access, it could be Monday before she can answer. I've done buying and selling in roughly equal amounts, sometimes I got stuff shipped out the next day (and sometimes got stuff that had been shipped that day or next), and sometimes it took a few days. Most sellers have lives outside eBay and things do come up. I'd give her at least until Tuesday or Wednesday--like equium said, getting stuff packed, get shipping charge, etc., can take a while.
Great, thanks guys I started to panic. I've sold one item, and I got the item out to the guy the next morning, I figured others would do the same. Ill let you all know how it goes
I had a similar problem awhile back. I used the "Ask seller a question" link in the seller information box. This relays your message through E-Bay rather than direclty from your ISP. It worked and I was able to complete the transaction. My seller used AOL and apparently, AOL users get hit with this problem quite often. Seems your message gets delivered to their "junk mail" folder and they don't bother to check that folder.
I am a big buyer on ebay. I always look at feedback and then I look and see if the feedback is for items they have BOUGHT OR SOLD often it is for items they have bought themselves. Sometimes sellers have emergencies like you or I but usually they email and let buyers know. Go to contact information on seller and you will be given their home phone number or business number so you can talk to them in person. Go to ebay help if you get nowhere. I never buy from a new seller. I know that sounds bad but i do not want to fall prey to a not so nice new seller. It may be just a mistake or oversight but get yer "guns" ready.

i stay away from new sellers, too. i bid on some truck speakers not noticing that he/ebay store was a new seller. i won the auction. the guys feedback was blessed with a NEG. feedback as the very first one. i was scared, but i got lucky and the guy pulled through. just a rough start.

Why? My primary eBay ID has 4,311 positive transactions and 0 negatives. My secondary ID has 2 transactions. Would you think I'd rip you off because I had only 2?
How many positive feedbacks did you have when you started?

i didn't mean to offend. i got "shell shocked" with my wife's sock purchase and now i'm nervous. i have no magic number in my head as to how many feedbacks they need to have before i will bid. you are right, i didn't have any feedback when i started. i have heard of too many ebay horror stories.
that doesn't mean they would happen to me, i know. again, i didn't mean to offend any ebay sellers.

No offense taken, I was just making a point about so called "Noobies".
You do have to be careful now, more than ever, because the scammers are out in force. Usually an e-mail to a seller with a question about their item can tell you something about them by their response and promptness.

i was going to say that same exact thing but i didn't want to be accused of "profiling" someone by the way the spell, write, etc. (not accused by you, just anyone.) the last seller i dealt with couldn't type for beans. a typical sentence would be: I' gald you lkie the itum. it costd $$ to male to yur zip.
i didn't win the auction, but spelling didn't keep me from bidding. i know what you mean, you can kind of tell what type of person they might be just by the way the write and how prompt they are.

I know what you mean about the emails. I was really interested in an item that was being offered at an incredibly low price, so I emailed the seller with a question. That was 5 days ago and I still haven't heard back from em. Not getting my business.
i bought an item from a canadain and it took awhile for the response"s and the shipping of the item, but i got it and all was well...i just figured he had things to do just like i do...whenever i buy something, i give it a week before i start asking questions..".noobies" it depends on the item i'm buying....
