"91" Explorer Help Needed
All, My “91” Explorer has started to pulse or rock the steering wheel back and forth under breaking. It’s not bad or dangerous to drive but annoying. I can also feel the break peddle pulse or pump under normal breaking as well. (It’s almost similar to heavy breaking with an ABS system only more sutel.) Any help or suggestions are always appreciated. Jeff in NM...OUT

Replace your brake pads and get the rotors turned. I had the same problem on my 92 and after the brake service, it stops just like a new car. No fade or pulse at all and it only cost me about $40...

Yep Rotors are warped and need to be turned or replaced. It's a common problem on all Ford vehicles. I have a 91 Exp with over 200K miles and had it done several times now.
