Ok, I got a 96 explorer. I got a problem, the power windows do not work on any side other then the drivers. This has been going on for some time. Now it is NOT the window lock, well it might be, but the setting for window lock is not on. Any one have any ideas of things to check. I would go and get it looked at, but for the next two months, that would just be really inconvinent. My room mate is a car person and said it might be something with the ground on the power lock windows(he is studying to be a ME along with about 80 percent of this school). I figure that I might ask him to take a look at it, but anything with tips or similar problem, any input would be appriciated.
Something to clarify also. All the windows work from the drivers side, like I can move the back right window, but that person cant move theirs.
I checked the book, but saw no fuse listing for power windows, I tried checking all the fuses, and they seemed good to go(I have seen a couple blown fuses, so I have an idea of what to look for)
It sounds like the circuit or the switch for the window lock is bad, preventing power getting to the other windows. Try removing the door panel on the driver side and bypassing the window lock switch.
