I have a 2002 with a 355 rear end I am getting ready to purchase a Jayco 29y light travel trailer. The gross is 6500 and the UVW is 4855. I have installed K@N air intake and Flowmaster dual exhaust. I hope to use this combo for many years. Is it a good combo or do I need more truck??? Thanks for any opinions.

Welcome to the forum.
What engine do you have? It should pull ok. What is the weight of the trailer?

fungi-It Will pull it. I have a 97-f150,4.6,355rear, auto full power 40/60 bench seats, And a '98 Jayco Hawk 24'front bedroom, Rear bunks Gvwr 4400.

Oh yeah I also just bought a 99sd f250 7.3 turbo diesel, Cherry Red because although my 97 f150 did PULL ok on flat level dry pavement, Slight inclines of any length especially on wet pavement, gravel or loose dirt or any combo of any of the above made for some really tense moments not to mention trying to STOP w any kind of power even w trailer brakes. Now getting there IS half the fun. Tell me what color your truck is so i can move out of the way for you.
