I would like to setup a weekend camping trip G2G and have it somewhere in the middle of So. Cal, so we can get more people there. Anyone have an good spots that is between LA and San Diego? And I would like to see it happen during the summer so people with children can make it too.

Would be interested but am leaving in Aug for Iraq again so timing would be crucial.

I would suggest the Big Bear area or maybe the Idyllwild area- higher altitude for cooler weather, but accessible for all vehicles (paved roads), scenic spots with stuff to do for families (Because you know we will have our heads under one hood or another for the entire time).

 

How about Stoddard Valley OHV near Barstow. Its completly wide open,close enought to Barstow if you need extras. Its run by the BLM http://www.ca.blm.gov/barstow/stoddard.html

 

GLAMIS SAND DUNES!!!!!!! This forum is not busy enought to get a good g2g going though.....
