95 Explorer XLT sometimes wont start
I have a 95 XLT that sometimes will not start. It might go for weeks with not problem then give me problems for days in a row. I am totally at this trucks will. Here is what happens:
I can turn the key and tell it will not start. It just truns over and over and over. I turn the key off and wait. Sometimes when I try a second time it will start right away. Sometimes it will just turn over endlessly like it is flooded or something. I have taken it to a couple of mechanics and none can find the problem. One mechanic told me it might be a sensor. He said he had this happen on one of his and he could never find what it was so he just replaced ALL the sensors and it never happened again.....
Thanks for your time and consideration...

1. You can quick check the fuel part by turning the key on and listening for the hum of the fuel pump running in the tank. If you do not hear it for a short time after key is turned on, you could have a problem with the fuel pump relay ($5-7.00 part) or the fuel pump itself. If you can hear it hum, open the pressure releif valve cap on the right side of injector rail, depress the stem and check to see if it squirts liquid fuel out (caution, fuel is under pressure). If all this checks OK then you have an electrical related problem.
2. Electrical related problems are hard to pinpoint, but most likely areas to look at are, crankshaft position sensor, iginition module, DIS spark module, ECM power relay and the ECM itself.
Since you indicated your problem is sporadic, I would go for the fuel and ECM power relays first, the entire fuel system checkout, then the electrical components (the most expensive items.
