1990 f150 4x4 problem
I have a 302 with 107,000 on it and I am having a problem.... it has been idling rough for awhile and I have just replaced the idle air motor assy...it had been idling at either 500 or 2500-3000 ..now idles okay, rough running in gear at around 2500 rpm...it seems to surge a little the the rpm fluctuates and the check engine light comes on....could it be the tps? it seems to not blow black sooty smoke out,so I do not think it is the o2 sensor...Any help would definitely be appreciated......mike, illinois
That model you dont need the reader. YOu can short the dianostic connector and read the idiot light. Look under the technical sticky on the ranger forum. It has a great description on how to pull with meter or light. it also lists most of the codes. ITs under the emmsions heading of the techincal posts.
