Rough Idle And Smoke

Another Problem... Just Turned 1000 Miles On Speedo, Pulled Up To Red Light And Motor Started Running Rough And Smokes. Does Not Do It In Park, Only When Put Into Gear. Sound Like Its Misses And Then There Is A Puff Of Smoke, But Runs Smooth On Highway....help......homey

Removed Predator, Truck Runs Fine, Reinstalled And 25 Minutes Later Puffing And Jerking Allover Again!!!! What Gives ????? Homey

Bought The Truck In Ft Lauderdale. This Is The Only Real Problem And Now I'm Wondering If It Is The Predator. The Truck Was Built On 11/03 And Has Not Been Flashed. Which Scares Me To Do.

Why does that scare you. There is only one flash for the 04. When was your engine built? I haven't heard any issues with the Predator and 04 engines.

From all the post I have read about reflashing causing lack of power, noise and poor gas mileage. Maybe its different for 04's. When do I check to find engine build date???

Be sure to read the entire thread, when you only read one to twelve posts it can be misleading as to the real problem/issue that was discussed, and especially the response typed.

Look for a sticker on top of the FICM that is on top of the engine valve cover driver side in the back. You will probablye need something to stand on and a flashlight. It will give the date and where the engine was made.
