You know something sad. Since I've chopped the exhaust going out the rear and replaced them with pipes out the side in front of my passenger side tire, everyone has been telling me my exhaust sounds weak and tinie. After that, I noticed it too. I don't have that nice rumble anymore. Now my truck sounds like a Honda Civic. I get more power though, but not as nice sound out the side.
mmm......not rumbley at idle like a V8, deep, throaty like a V8though when the engine is cold-semi-cold, not quiet but not loud like an 8, i think its pretty loud for a 6 though. If I had a rumble on takes offs and idle speed I would die for that...
my tips are getting a little rusty so Im thinking of cutting them off and im wondering what it will sound like if i cut them off right behind the tip and it will give me a cleaner look, but i want it to sound good.....basically will the tip removal change the sound that much??????
I cut them off this morning, right where they come over the axle and turn down and it sounds GOOD...........and I like the cleaner look from the back so I wish I had done that along time ago!!!!
