Paintable door handles

Has anybody ever seen smoothpaintable door handles available? I would like to find some with a chrome handle. I have seen the Billet handles but I believe you still have to use the stock door handle buckets

Smooth them down yourself and paint them, then buy the billet handles cause those are the only ones available.

I might have to. It is a shame they have to try to go cheap on everything. The older bodystyle had body color door handles on the XLT and above, but they had the bare plastic on the tailgate. I just hate the plastic because eventually it fades.
