I am looking into converting my drive train to that of a late 90's Bronco for practical reasons. I know that my 1970's frame is too narrow to fit the late 90's t-case, but does anyone know how narrow exactly? Is there anyone out there who has done this to their early bronco?
An NP205 (late-70's) t-case fits. That's what I have in my EB. The great thing about Fords is that all the transfer cases interchange. All you have to do is get the right adapter for the 205, and everything will work. The 205 adapter is longer and cst iron, while the 208 and all the BW adapters are aluminum, I believe.
they will mate eventually. adanced adapters has an adapter plate and a new output shaft that would mate them very nicely the shaft woul need to be put in by a trans shop or a person that knows auto trans rebuilding. its a great time to re build that c6. the adapters will cost a penny or many many more but they have it
