Same problem as Buddystrore

I have a 93 F-150 in-line 6cyl. 2WD Automatic and have the same problem with either fuel pump (dual tanks) continuing to run with the key in the on position as budystrore in his post a couple days back. I have replaced the relay which did not fix it, so I have moved on to the computer. I cannot find the computer. Does anyone know where it is in this model? The one I bought at the parts store is in a box about 6" x 6" x 1-1/2" thick with a 60 pin connector. Does this sound right?

Thanks

yes that sounds right it should be behind the kick panel on the drivers side and the bolt holding the plug into it is accessable from the engine conpartment. hop[e this helps you.

I don't know if it was a wise idea to go buy a new computer, but it's underneath the brake booster, you'll see all the wires in a big connector. You've got to remove the plastic fenderwell enough to pull the computer out. Just unbolt the connector and remove the plug, then pull the computer out.

MustangGT221,
I have not installed the computer yet. Can you recommend a different course of action?

Thanks,

Well....not really...but...i've seen bad relays purchased when new that have thrown people into some massive headaches. They got a new relay and it turned out to be bad anyway....so make sure the relay is working. Other then that....I have no idea...I just don't think the computer has control over that in that way. I could be wrong though.
