I am new to diesels and need to know what the break in procedure is for one. Typically with a new vehicle I would baby it for the first 1k miles by not getting over 3k RPM, not staying in one gear at the same speed for too long and to not get over 70 MPH. Is there anything else I need to do or know whwn it comes to breaking in a new diesel?

I have actually been coming here for years but I believe I was told about the site from the fordranger.com guys years ago. I'd have to say that I get the best answers here and the maturity level here is usually quite high so it is a great resource.
I have had two Rangers, two Mustangs and two Super Dutys. I currently own a 1964 1/2 Mustang, a 2003 GT Mustang, and a 2004 PSD 4x4 with a 6" lift.
