Problem: On some freeways at 70MPH and above, the front end will bounce so much it makes conversation sound funny (your voice actually is effected). This is most noticeable in the far left lane. If I stay at the same speed, but change lanes to the right, the problem diminishes and completely is gone by the far right lane.
I just got a front end alignment and new tires all around, Michelin LTX A/S 275/75/16. It is not as bad with the new tires, but still there.
AGain, this is only a problem in the fast lane mostly of some freeways.
I am guessing this is simply a problem with the road, but curious if anyone else has this problem. Maybe it is the length of the truck, catching all the dips the wrong way?
I get the same thing here around south Texas. It is just the roads. Look at the expansion joints and filled cracks on them. Some are worse than others do to the wear on the fast lane(everyone wants to ride in it even if they go 40). just my .02
FN 250, I'm also in So Cal. Guess it's just the roads, glad to hear that's all.
Forty Fords- I will try lower, I was running 45-50 all the way around with the old tires and have put the new ones at 50 all the way around.
I am thinking this is too much for the rear tires, no matter what the door jamb says, I think 70 is way too much for an unloaded truck, because when I drove through some dirt with my new tires a couple days ago, the outside tread didn't get dirty at all.
