Ranger? As in "little" Ranger with the 'ole 4.0 engine? I would seriously research the hp and torque specs with that tranny. Seems to me to be way on the weak side for a full size truck. Of course...if you are talking about some different Ranger...then I stand corrected.

Oh...I see. For some reason I had FE big block in a full size truck on the brain. Seems like a cool OD system. When you do get it and install it, hope keep us all informed.
