1995 Explorer

I have looked everywhere on how to disable the beeping in the driver side door when the keys are still in the ignition and the door is open. Could someone please tell me how to disable the beeping or give me a link to a site that says how>>??? I have a 1995 Explorer

I just want to know like where the wire is that makes the beeping noise in the door when the doors ope and key in ignition, Where is that WIRE?

the switch is built into the door latch in the door. Most of us just use a screwdriver to close the door latch and open it before closing the door. The wire runs out the door and into the kick panel behind the door.

does anybody else know of a code or sequence you can do to disable the beeping in the drivers door, or just where is the wire and what color is it so i can cut it?? PLEASE HELP!!!

noisy door chime,(reply)

I also have a 95 expl. I had to pull off the door panel and unplug one or two of the wires hooked to the door latch. This won't get rid of the whole chime, but it will go off after 2 or 3 seconds. You may try getting to the little box where the chime comes out from in the middle of the console. You may have to see which wire goes to the noise maker. You may also try unplugging the seatbelt plug underneath the driver's seat. Hope this helps!

Under The Steearing Colom Thier Is A Black With Pink Strip Thin Wire That Has A Connector Right Before The Plasic If U Onplug It Gos Away I Did This When I Was Puting In My Alarm And Remote Starter Annoying
