I recently bought a skyjacker dual steering stablizer for my 2004 King Ranch PSD CC 4x4. there is one shock on each side meeting in the middle of the axel. my question is which way should the shock be going? boot twards the middle of the truck or boot twards the out side of the truck. i have seen both. which is right,is there any advantages to one or the other. any answers or suggestions would be great.thanks

IMO it does not matter, ruel of thumb, hold the body and move the rod ..hope that helps
Yes that helps thanks, i thought maybe it would help with narrowing down my noise problom. i have this slight almost like a small clunk sound right under the floor like by my feet and only when i make left turns from a stop. no noise as i turn while moving on highway or roads. only occurs on take off into a turn. weird its not loud but you can feel it in the floor. dont know if it is normal things moving around under there. i went under and checked to make sure everything was nice and tight with no play and it was. no play in any steering arms so im kinda stumped.

More info, do a search on "clunk"....in the SD section and maybe here...
I have the same Skyjacker Dual Stabalizer and I mounted the shocks with the boots toward the outside (with the shock body mounted to the tie rod bracket). This was how it was shown in the instructions but I don't really think it will matter which way it's mounted.
