Newbie here, but I really like the forum! I was looking at some of the post the other night and saw where a member had used a spray-on dark tint on his third brakelight/bed light. I can't find this guy's dallery again. Has anyone else used this and if so, what is the brand and color and where can if find it? Have a great week everyone!
OK, I am an old guy and I know that disqualifies me from some of you Lads. What fool thought up the idea of making break/tail light lens's darker? They are there for a reason. So i can see you stopping! They need to be BRIGHT not dull. Ok I had my say, so go ahead and pile on. Dave
It does make the brake light a bit less noticeable, but not to a degree that you can't see it. If someone rearends you because your highmount brake light was not working or tinted, that's just an excuse, they would of hit you anyway. Just my opinion.
I made a similar mod on my F-150, but I used a vinyl decal. I got the idea from e-bay, but I made it myself, since my dad has a vinyl lettering shop. Got pics in my gallery.
