i have a friend whohas a like 9 mach one stang and has what he calls exhaust dumps right after the headers...they are a y shaped pipe and can be directed to the cats and muffler of directed directly outside, bypassing everything else ....he uses a choke like system to do it.......has any one seen or heard of anything like that for a 90 351 bronc and where i could get somehting like that......its just to cool....his exhaust sets off car alarms and id like to have that sound every now and the easily.....thanks guys
I know Jegs carrys them but they are kind of expensive(like 50 bucks a pop). I know JC Whitney used to carry them for about 25 dollars each but it has been a while since I have looked at one of there magazines so I am not sure.
I don't know "about having some thing to set off car arlarms" being a mod I'd love to have, but to each his once, Any ways the dumps on his Stang are basically turn downs in place of mufflers, Most people don't use the mufflers at all. And all those exhuast fumes are going to end up in YOUR cabin. Disconnect your muffler for a while and you'll see what I mean about the exhaust. I'd be interested if you do the mod, take pictures and create a sound bite if possible.
you will be way loud , loose alot of backpressure and have no low end. your friend needs this because hes pushing some serious hp and the exhaust needs to breath better but for you sounds like a waste of money.
i just need a bigger sound from my bronc and i cut off the muffler and am not satisfied....i was thinking about getting rid of a cat and putting the muffler on...what do yall tyhink
cause you cant run true dual on our broncos. tcase and cross member get in the way. they do have the cat back systems but they only simulate dual exhaust. it can be done but personally i like the factory design less to get damaged when out playing and the single performs better then duals anyways.
