Re-chargeable flashlight

I know some of you folks have mounted a re-chargeable flashlite at the base of the drivers seat. Did you wire it so the charging unit is powered all the time or only when the truck is running? I am getting ready to add one to my truck and I am thinking it best to wire it so it is powered only when the truck is running. I don't think the current draw of the charger is all that much but I'm not sure.
How did you guys wire it?

I'm curious also.. All the pics I've seen so far have shown non-rechargeable maglights..
