frame vin numbers

I recently picked up a ford pickup belived to be a 1946 1/2 ton.i found the frame number and wanted to verify what year it was. * IGY303669* Can anyone help?

My book says that vin is correct for 1946 One Ton truck with a 6 cylinder.

In '47 the vin added the year ( 71GY123456)

Also, for titling purposes, even though the first number looks like the letter I, it is actually a 1. If you put it as an I when applying for the title, you may have a problem.
